You will be picked up at your hotel and transfer to the Amador Causeway in Panama City. You will make a northbound transit of the Panama Canal (to the Pacific Ocean until the Caribbean Sea). On the way to the first set of locks (Miraflores Locks), you will appreciate from the spectacular Bay of Panama the imposing buildings of the modern city and the Bridge of the Americas.

The boat will pass the first set of locks, the Miraflores Locks, where rises a total of 16 meters in two stages to reach the Miraflores Lake, which is a small freshwater lake that separates the two locks on the Pacific side of the Canal, to reaching the Pedro Miguel Locks. In the Pedro Miguel Locks, the boat rises about 10 meters to reach the level of Gatun Lake.

Exiting the Pedro Miguel Locks, the crossing of the Gaillard Cut begins, where the Chagres River flows into Gatún Lake. The Gaillard Cut known as the Culebra Cut, receives this name because its curves resemble a snake. This is one of the most interesting parts since the cut was built across the Continental Divide and has great historical and geological value. Crossing the southern part of the Culebra Cut, you can see the new Centennial Bridge that crosses over the canal. This area requires continuous maintenance as it is very susceptible to landslides. In this area you can already see the entrance to the third set of locks, the Cocolí Locks in the Pacific.

You will have the opportunity to navigate through the Gatun Lake, which was long one of the largest artificial lakes in the world. Gatun Lake is a place of great ecological importance and there are facilities located such as the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute on Barro Colorado Island.

After crossing the Gatun Lake, will start descending in the Gatun Locks, where the boat descend 26 meters in three stages to the level of the Caribbean Sea.

The boat will sail to the City of Colon to the cruise terminal where you will disembark and board a bus back to Panama City.
